One of my favourite things ever is spotting a total bargain piece at a vintage or thrift shop and then styling it to a refined, chic look. Tonight’s outfit features one of my favourite colour combinations: cream and gold. This colour duo oozes utter sophistication with a minimalistic approach that always manages to look expensive.
The blouse cost me $7 from a really run down vintage store that I almost missed walking by! I gotta say, it did take me some time to dig around and once I found it, all it needed was a good wash, iron and TLC to get it looking chic again. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to spend a fortune to buy killer branded/designer heels. Just keep an eye out for clearance or warehouse sales, I picked up these Zoe Wittner heels at once of these for only $50 (down from $130). And get this, this 70’s retro necklace cost me $3!!
What do you guys think of this look, thoughts?

Okay so, a while ago I posted an interior decor feature which gave you all an inside look at my current bedroom here in Melbourne (https://adoreardor.wordpress.com/2013/09/23/my-style-monday-my-bedroom-my-bliss/). I have an obsession with interior decorating and constantly find myself gravitating towards all the chic interior design ‘pins’ on Pinterest and picking up knick-knacks for my room . It’s sort of an addiction and tends to burn a hole in my pocket more times than less!
Over the holidays, I flew back home and stayed in my childhood house where I found familiar comforts again in my old bedroom. Maybe I’ve always felt the need to ‘style’ any room I’ve lived in because when I stepped into my old bedroom again, it was easy to see the reflection of my creative side going back all those teenage years! It was refreshing to dig up old artwork and paintboxes from university, re-read my vast Vogue collection, see the faded D&G, Valentino and other fashion posters up on the walls and source fresh inspiration from the piled fashion books.
Here is a snapshot look into my original bedroom that will hopefully give you some inspiration to make your space a unique one!
Happy Tuesday! x
A couple of weeks ago, I styled a shoot that was quite different to my everyday style. The feel of the shoot was very edgy – a lot of block separates in monochrome, thigh high body suits, leather galore, cropped bras, sky high quiffs, glossy goth eyes and metallic golds. The editorial was shot in black and white which again isn’t my style but it felt damn good to step outside my comfort zone and push my creativity.
Here is a little sneak peek from the shoot which was in my apartment by the way – the entire floor was turned into one big studio! The team could have easily been high of hairspray at the rate we were using it, blonde wigs on couches, massive camera equipment everywhere and chocolate muffins as fuel …it was a mad day!
Keep an eye out for the final spread on here very soon 🙂
Hey guys! I am super excited to finally reveal the final shots of the photo shoot I styled in the city a few weeks ago. The pictures couldn’t have turned out better and I’m absolutely thrilled that my vision was captured so magically – all thanks to the amazing team that day!

Here are the final six images, but stay tuned because there may be more to follow!
I’ll leave you with a quote that truly sums up this collection in a nutshell!
“Colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment”
