More Amour: Prints and Neon

Since I quit my desk job last week to pursue my fashion aspirations, I have had some extra time at home. With all this freedom all of a sudden, my mind has been wondering off to far away destinations. I have been dreaming of European holidays lately. And I mean not just any vacay, but especially the ones where the European summer’s sweltering heat makes you want to drink tropical Piña Coladas all day, absorb in the culture, learn a seductive foreign language and pull out your beaded sandals and brightest gear!

So it seems no surprise that I have been very inspired lately by resort wear, neon, strong prints, clashing hues and colour-blocks. I adore mixing unusual colour combinations together such as pastels with neon and brights to form a stand-out look. Throw on some bright earrings and a slick of blue eyeliner and your outfit is complete.

My pale tickled pink dress is from Witchery last summer, printed jacket from ASOS and neon orange earrings from Lovisa.

Current Obsession: 1980’s Gold and Black attack!

Sometimes it’s just best to pair two neutral tones together to create a bold statement. The two colours don’t have to be boring but you can still have fun and experiment. Nothing is more classic than jet black paired with accents of classic yellow gold. This combo can be deadly when worn at night (as seen above) with a bright lippy and heels but it can also be relaxed for day (as seen below). To me, this combination is chic and there is definitely a 80s/90s vibe going on (Versace safety pin dress, anyone?) when mixed with vintage pieces.
