Petals and Posies: A day in Brunswick

IMG_4686ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Over the weekend, my best friend and I went out to explore the hipster, cool area of Melbourne called Brunswick – an area littered with small local boutiques, cute cafes with umbrellas and colourful chairs that serve exotic coffees, Deli’s with gourmet sandwiches, vintage finds, street art on every wall, unique crafts and other knick knacks! I could visit Brunswick every weekend and always find something new to keep me entertained and inspired.

I have to say though, my favourite shop in all of Brunswick is the most gorgeous, chic florist called ‘Flowers Vasette’. For me, it was love at first sight. Even before you enter the stunning boutique florist, your senses are hit with the distant scent of the blooms and the variety of colours, textures and sizes of the flowers is complete visual gratification. Every wall is colour coordinated so well presented that it’s easy to search for the exact blooms you want. The staff are also super friendly and will cater to your specific requirements. I may actually faint if I got the opportunity to style photo shoot there one day – the shop literally screams to be photographed!

Hope you enjoy these pictures I clicked above. Next time you’re in Melbourne, be sure to visit Brunswick for a delicious cup of caramel chai latte, amazing vintage finds and a big bouquet of the freshest flowers you can find.

Happy shopping!

Black, White and Red all over!

Even though I am a big fan of bright hues and prints, sometimes a girl just needs to go back to the basics and settle with a chic monochromatic colour palette. It’s clean, simply and fuss free! The easiest and most understated way to make a statement is pairing black and white together with a pop of a bold hue of your choice. I prefer blood red on nails or lips – another classic, and something most of us have in our wardrobe – too easy! What I truly enjoy about this palette is how versatile and easy it is – a day in the office or some drinks in the evening, it just works!

The top five things on my wish list:

1. Brian Lichtenberg Feline Sweatshirt (AUD $160)
2. Bijou Gold Tone Chunky Chain Choker (AUD $77)
3. Butter LONDON Come to Bed Red (AUD $16)
4. Lexie Panelpoint Flat Pump (AUD $184) or Melissa Leather Riding Boots (AUD $215)
5. Ralph Lauren Satchel Newbury Double Zip (AUD $325)

Today is one of those days…

Sometimes it’s hard to avoid hitting a slump! It’s exactly that sort of day today where the cloudy grey overcast and soft 1950s music in the near distance outside my window makes it so hard to stay focused – feels more like a snoozy doozy day! The chart below basically sums up exactly how I feel, so after a few too many cheese Doritos and googling Harper Beckham for the past hour, I guess it’s time for a ‘productive’ nap …hey, it is the weekend after all!

Bloggers, you catch my drift? x

When I first came across it, it was literally hard to contain my excitement because so many things caught my eye that I didn’t know where to search first. Most items are stamped, engraved and embossed with quotes and love notes which is such a refreshing take on pieces of interiors and jewellery.

The items above are my total favourites and so adorable, I just cannot get enough of the quirky designs – especially the personalised little jewels! The only question remains, which one to choose?!
